The Dog Pound

The "Dog Pound" is our version of Key West comes to Clifton.

With "Al Fresco" dining style and a beach like setting, we think everyone will find "The Dog Pound" warm and relaxing. Here you will enjoy the finest all-beef signature hot-dogs, tangy Carolina pork barbecue, a soup of the week, salads, and the coldest beer in the area. Families can enjoy an atmosphere where they can catch a game on our flat screen TV, play a  game, or simply watch the trains go by.

Serving the area’s finest Premium Hot Dogs, Ice Cold Beer, and Much More. The “Dog Pound” is located on the opposite side of Peterson’s Ice Cream Depot. Enjoy a great outdoor meal, at reasonable prices, in a true family atmosphere. Watch a ball game or play a board game!

“Depot Dog” – Our premium dog. Slightly spicy with a “snap” when you bite into it.
“Puppy Dog” – An all beef dog found in many professional ball parks. Still dog gone good!
“ Bird Dog” – A Perdue all turkey frank. Low in fat, large in flavor
“Half Smoke” – One quarter pound of zesty smoked sausage. Big in taste, big in size!

Pound Favorites:

#1 Big Dog – Our Depot Dog served with classic yellow mustard, melted cheddar cheese, Vidalia onions, and our signature sloppy dog sauce.
#2 Dog’s Breath – The Depot Dog served with spicy brown mustard, jalapeno relish, onions, hot banana peppers and our signature sloppy dog sauce.
#3 Hound Dog – A “down south” creation. Depot Dog served with yellow mustard, creamy coleslaw, and our signature sloppy dog sauce.
#4 Dog Face – Our Half Smoke served with melted cheddar cheese, sloppy dog sauce, and sweet red and green peppers.

Fixings: Have your order filled to your heart’s delight with any of our free fixings, including Ketchup, four flavors of Hot Sauce, Yellow and Brown Mustard, Sweet Relish, Onions, Banana Peppers, Hot Cherry Peppers, jalapenos.

Sloppy Dog Meat Sauce – This is what has made us famous! If you like Chili Dogs, you’ll absolutely love this! A zesty, beef and tomato sauce kicked up with secret spices like none you’ve ever had on a dog.

Nacho’s – HUGE! We’ve been told these are the best nacho’s people have ever had. A generous portion of nacho chips, melted cheddar cheese and sloppy dog sauce, jalapenos and sour cream.
